Valentines Day!

oh what a day! February 14, 2009, the day that officially goes down as my perfect day! It started out with mom and I going shopping for wedding dresses. I picked out two dresses and when I tried each of them on, they both fit like a glove and were absolutely beautiful on me! the first one, My favorite, glistened as I walked around, truely gorgous! Then Ryan I went to the marina to pick up the kids, Ryan came home shortly after and we cuddled on the couch for hours. 6 o'clock came and we took the kids to mom and dads so Ryan and I could go out to eat for Valentines day. I got ready... and looked REALLY cute, if I do say so myself, then we went to our favorite restarunt, Tripps. Hickory was a madhouse!!! It was so crazy, every place was packed!! Ryan and I put our name in and they said it would be an hour wait. We sat down and not even 10 minutes later they buzzed our pager. I'm sure they mixed up the number and ment to page someone else, but either way, we got to sit down and order right away. When our food came out, it was the best food we had ever eaten there! everything was perfect!! From Tripps we went to the marina to hang out with Ryan's dad. While we were there some of his dad's friends came by and we were all hanging out! Ryan goes outside for a minute and asked me to come out with him. we walked down to the dock where there is a porch swing and we sat down. Ryan and I talked for just a few minutes when he started saying how much he loved me. Ryan got down on one knee, and I said "stop! this isn't funny anymore, please get up" he started to get alittle choked up, and I began to get really confused. He said "I don't really know what to say here.." and I interuppted with "Say you love upsetting me, and you don't have a ring, and get up off your knees" He then pulled something out of his pocket... which he has done several times and nothing was in his hands... but this time, I looked down fully expecting to see a quater or nothing at all. When I looked down in his hands, I saw a ring... a beautiful ring... my dream engagement ring. At that point Ryan started crying, I grabbed the ring, put it on my own finger, and said "YES, YES, YES, just shhhhhh.... yes!" we sat there and hugged and kissed for a minute or two, then went back inside to celebrate! It was truely an amazing day... I couldn't have asked for it to have been more perfect! The setting, the words, the raw emotion, the ring.... everything, it was so perfect! I'm THE happiest girl in the world right now!!! Now all we have to do is set a date and start planning!
